Talita left a small town in São Paulo to live in London . She was
completely dazzled by the city, she also became fascinated with the amount of
good looking men there were there.
Every time she went to pubs there was always a handsome guy trying to talk to her, but there was a detail, her English was poor. The conversation rolled up the most basic questions, then the guys ended up giving up and going because her English did not allow the conversation to continue. One day Talita was in a pub near her home with some friends and once again a handsome guy came over to talk to her and then he immediately gave up the dialogue. Talita was very disappointed and decided that from that day forward she wouldn’t flirt any more, because whenever the situation was repeated and she did not want to be frustrated.
One day her friend invited her to go to a pub full of Australians and there was a guy who did not take his eyes of her and even seeing the looks in his direction, she pretended she was not seeing, then her friend nudged and said: "that guy can not stop looking at you, look at him, Talita said that she did not want to look, because the story was always the same, he would talk to her and soon quit.

Talita remained standing like a statue until he approached her, he was an Englishman named Peter, he started talking to her and right away to avoid disappointment, she said, "I
don’t speak English,"
but he replied that had no problem and continued talking to her. When Peter said his name, she barely understood because in British English the sound of "er"
becomes "a"
and Talita got something like
"Pizza" and that's how Peter became affectionately "Pizza."
Pizza was enchanted by Talita and she was completely in love for him and the next dates Talita took the dictionary to communicate with him and when he phoned her, she asked her friend to pretend to be her because she knew she wouldn’t understand him.
Everything was going very well until one day his ex-girlfriend looked for him to tell she was pregnant. Pizza was devastated, but he said he would take the child and would be present in the child's life.
Pizza knew he would had to tell Talita about the ex-girlfriend’s pregnancy and went straight to the point. When he told her the pregnancy he mentioned that his parents had abandoned him as a child and that he had been raised by an aunt and he didn’t want his son to grow up without a father. Talita was proud of Pizza by his attitude, but also felt his world fell down because they were in love with each other.
They continued seeing each other for a while, but Talita realized she couldn’t get involved in this story because she knew she would return to Brazil and as much as she wanted to see him again, they ended up moving away ...
Many years passed and Talita found her capuchin monkey in Brazil, but still recalls the moments she had with Pizza because it was one of those romances that a woman never forgets ...

The illustration is about the movie "Actually love" where an Englishman and a Portuguese woman fall in love without being able to understand each other.
