It happened in Candem

Monica was living in London for while when she met Johnny in a pub in Candem Town.

Johnny was an Englishman atypical; gentle, sensitive, sweet and gorgeous, totally different from the stereotype of the English sarcastic. Monica fell in love right away.

Johnny also became interested in Monica, after all she was a Brazilian woman and for an European guy to be with a Brazilian woman was a pretty damned to his reputation.

The next week Johnny called Monica inviting her for a drink and she accepted immediately. They arranged to meet at another pub in Candem. Monica was very excited about it.

The meeting was very pleasant, it was impossible not to be, Johnny was very affectionate with her, she never met a man so affectionate and charismatic as him.

The meetings between them became more frequent, went to the cinema, cafés, pubs, until one day Johnny thought it was time to invite her to dinner at his house, which he would prepare. The menu was chosen as chili con carne, a dish that Monica had never forgotten,  the night was also memorable.

While Monica was not ready for a relationship and did not know if Johnny was ready for a relationship with a foreigner, she let it go because Johnny made her feel very well. With Johnny, Monica regained her self-esteem, her safety and her desire to remain in England.

Unfortunately the story of Monica and Johnny did not have a happy ending, Monica had to return to Brazil and Johnny remained in England. They kept in touch by email, preserving a great friendship and affection for each other, but Monica regrets to this day have not been in London to see in this story was going to ...
